I have been searching for days on how to insert a working "attach file" button into a PDF form I'm creating. I am working with LiveCycle ES4. I am able to open other examples where the "attach file" button works but when I try to implement in my own form, it doesn't work. I have tried using script from several examples but none work when I try to implement in my own PDF. Do I need to enable rights via LiveCycle somehow?

I have purchased the Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4 (Windows, Multiple Languages) yesterday (6/24) and I received an email with my serial numbers and download instructions. But when I go to My Orders page and click on the "Download" button, it takes me to a page which gives my serial number and I don't see a download link. I m not Quite sure which option is the best option to choose.

at the moment, we have webservices for these fields which have alogic to populate the information automatically in those fields. We dont want these fields now. But I dont want to tweak webservices.

keeping this in mind, could you please suggest me the best option to choose to hyde a field?

About to deploy LS ES4 however our standard is IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.x (WAS 8.5.5.x).   Looking at installation docs it states "WAS 8.5.0.[0,1,2] and so on" are the supported versions. However as far as I can see 8.5.5.x is a update/fix for 8.5.0.x  and that 8.5.0.x is no longer current. So will we be on a supported platform using WAS 8.5.5.x?

Recently, my organization migrated from a mix authentication (user id\password, and PIV) to an only PIV authentication.  Before this migration, LiveCycle was using user id\password to authenticate users, and LiveCycle worked.  Using only PIV authentication has remove access to all user to LiveCycle.  Creating local user accounts, with over 3500 users, is not a viable option.  To continue using LiveCycle the only option is to configure SSL using PIV Cards.

Can someone help? we are trying to add a license key for Enterprise deployments. but we dont know how to do. we havent found any technical documentation that describe this. Idea is to add it to an MSI with MST or similar.

I set up Adobe LCES 8.2 on a WebSphere 6.1.23 install and deployed the ears.  I manually created the connection pools, data sources, etc, and all the other config settings, however, I now get the errors below and am unable to deploy the jar files or initialize the database.  The pools test out fine with zero errors, but I keep getting this DS.SC_SERVICE not found error and do not know how to fix it.

Let me explain my current situation.

We need to enable SSO Kerberos in Windows

Server 2003 for Livecycle with Websphere.

In development environment the Application Server is installed in a Windows based machine (Windows XP/ Windows Server 2003), we test the kerberos successfully.

In client's environment, the Application Server is installed in Unix, we test the kerberos and it failed.

From what I observed,

In Windows environment, we can use any name with format HTTP/xxx with command ktpass e.g.

ktpass HTTP/1.1.1.1@DOMAIN.COM  -mappuser spnego

I put it in the Service User field and it will test successfully with Windows Environment.

(Of course, in actual configuration, I put HTTP/<lcesServerName>.domain.com)

In Unix environment, we have the exception "Server not found in kerberos database"

When I read the /etc/hosts file, I saw that the  <lcesServerName>.domain.com is mapped to 2 different IP addresses.

10.172.16.16 and 10.0.0.1 with precedence is 10.172.16.16<lcesServerName>.domain.com

i.e. if I ping <lcesServerName>.domain.com it will ping the IP 10.172.16.16.

I thought in Unix, after authenticated successfully, It tries to connect to the real lces server, i.e. <lcesServerName>.domain.com

and because internal Unix cannot connect to external IP (10.172.16.16) then it failed.

Then I tried to create another service user sso.<lcesServerName>.domain.com to map specifically to 10.0.0.1 and livecycle return me the error "No resolver supplied". The same thing happens if I map HTTP/10.0.0.1 to spnego.

The exception is (totaly not related to Livecycle):

I'm new to this. The admin userid/password that was successfully used in the past in not being recognized now.

I was trying to log in to Adobe LiveCycle ES ver 8.2 from http://localhost:8080/adminui/login.faces and receive the message "Username and password do not match".

Is there a way for me to reset the userid/password ? I cannot reset a user's password before accessing thie admin account first.

Any help is appreciated.
