Easiest method to test email settings

Hello,

I have configured email receive settings(SMTP server etc) in the LC Administration Console.

Could you tell me the easiest way to test the settings? I can only think of testing using a process under workbench, but is there a more direct way to just send out emails without the need of creating a process for it the emails?
