I was trying to log in to Adobe LiveCycle ES ver 8.2 from http://localhost:8080/adminui/login.faces and receive the message "Username and password do not match".

Is there a way for me to reset the userid/password ? I cannot reset a user's password before accessing thie admin account first.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi, all,

I encounter problems when installing a custom authentication provider component. Belows are the error logs prompt. However, I don't know what is going wrong. Does anyone has idea?

(It said that LifeCycleImpl.class not found, however, the file is already in the adobe-authentication-spi.jar)

Thanks a lot!

Jacky

Internal Error

Not sure which one is the right forum to post this topic.  I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place for this message.

My LCES2.5 server is a Turnkey install, Windows/JBoss/MySQL.

It has been running fine before.

But now, about 2 minutes after it started up, I saw a huge bunch of Internal Error messages in JBoss server log (see below).

Would like to know if anyone had seen similar problem and if there's an easy way to fix it?

The messages said something about a particular Task (#1513).  So I went to AdminUI and searched for that Task, but saw nothing unusual with that Task, nothing in the history of the Process (that the Task belongs to) looked unusual in AdminUI either.

Thanks for help!

ES2 Upgrade Issue

I'm ugrading a second(I've already upgrade one server successfully) instance of livecycle 8.2 to livecycle ES2 SP2 and I'm receiving errors post upgrade.  The upgrade seems to go smoothly until I try to login to workspace after and I'm unable to render PDFs.

There is a problem with the reader extension/reader extension credentials.  The stack trace is:

Hello,

We're using Adobe LiveCycle JBoss Installation, and the SSL certificate we're using to enable Rights Management has expired.

We've created a new one which is now working fine, but we would like to know if there's a way to control or extend the expiration date on the certificate, as 3 months is a very short period.

Marwa

ES4 Turnkey Install Error on Windows 2008R2

I just did a Turnkey install of LiveCycle ES4 on Windows 2008R2 from the ES4 trail download on Adobe's site.  I'm using the JBoss Windows installer.  I received a few errors durning the install related to setting up the ConfiguratonManager.bat file which I've included from the install log below.  The install fails with errors.  I took at look in the ConfigurationManager/bin directory and there are no batch files.  The install did not fullly complete and JBoss and MySQL were not installed.

Hi,

I've been facing a situation where the server log suddenly started throwing the following server errors from the morning:

Surprisingly, we never attempted to configure a cluster and we are having a standalone single server environment.

Any one faced this issue earlier?

Any key pointers on how to get rid of it?

Thanks.

Configuring the application server to use HTTP proxy server

Hi,

I am trying to configure LiveCycle ES2 to access services over the internet and since my Livecycle server connects to internet through a Proxy server, I have referred to section 5.8.2 of LiveCycle install_weblogic.pdf that states the following:

If the computer that LiveCycle ES2 is running on uses proxy settings to access external web sites, the

application server should be started with the following values set as Java virtual machine (JVM)

arguments:

-Dhttp.proxyHost= [server host]

-Dhttp.proxyPort=

[server port]

However, I am getting the below exception while running the LC application as my Proxy server requires User credentials to connect to the internet:

weblogic.net.http.HttpUnauthorizedException: Proxy or Server Authentication Required.

I tried providing the below JVM startup argument too, but no luck:

-Dhttp.proxyUser= [proxy user]

-DhttpPassword= [Proxy password]

Can you please suggest how to configure User credentials for the Proxy server in Livecycle.

Thanks in advance.

My IT people have installed ES4 on my pc.

When I click on the Preview HTML Tab, I get shown the "Server Options" window.

However, I have no idea what I should put in the various fields.

I want to run everything from my PC.

Can anyone help me please.

As I am the only person in my company with this product, it is not supported by IT.

Thanks

Hi - I downloaded the LiveCycle Designer trial and now have ordered the full version  How do I enter my new serial number?  If I have to uninstall the trial, how do I make sure to take all the files out properly so I can install the full version?

Installing livecycle designer es4 getting error 1722 for imagefilebrowseridl

We're installing LiveCycle Designer es4 and getting error 1722 for imagefilebrowseridl.dll.  Any idea why this is happening?

We already have Adobe Reader XI, Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, and Adobe Web and Design Premium 6 installed.

It looks like when we installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI that the designer software was removed. That is why we are trying to install the new version of designer but are running into this error.

Thanks.

How do you recover the Serial Number for LiveCycle Designer ES4?

Users receive error: An error occurred while performing this operation.

Users receive error:

An error occurred while performing this operation.

Contact an administrator if this problem continues.

At this point we've been unable to reproduce the issue with any regularity.  In our environment we create a number of reports then protect them which are linked on an Intranet site.  From time to time a user will report the above error when trying to open the files.  After a period of time or closing all browser processes and adobe it will be able to open.

Could someone point me to some documentation on this or troubleshooting?  We are stuck with one particular support vendor who implemented and our experience with them has been challenging.

We're currently running Livecycle ES3 10.0.2 I've tried checking release notes to see if this is a known issue resolved in later version.  Has anyone seen this before?

Printer XDC file management on SAP

$

Hi,

I am using Adobe Livecycle Designer ES3 to design forms, and more precisely labels that are printed on a Intermec PM43c printer. SAP Intermec Drivers comes up with a standard ipl203.xdc file that have been modified in order to fulfill our requirement, which is to be able to print Arial text on labels. Since Arial is not a resident font, it has been uploaded on the device. The assigned IDs are:

- c03 Arial

- c04 Arial Bold

Printing using direct IPL commands on the printer works well with the Arial font, however, when sending designed forms to the printer (the SAP drivers converts the form data to IPL command), the result is far from expected.

First changes on the XDC file:

I added the missing fonts in the <pdl> section of the XDC file:

<seq id="Arial_Bold_Normal_ISO-8859-1">1,c04,0,0,0</seq><seq id="Arial_Normal_Normal_ISO-8859-1">1,c03,0,0,0</seq>

I then declared the two font in the <deviceInfo> section as following:

<font fileName="arialbd.ttf" flags="0" posture="normal" select="implicitLink" size="1000pt" textEncoding="ISO-8859-1" type="TrueType" typeface="Arial" weight="bold">  <metrics ascent="728pt" bBox="-628pt, -1056pt, 2000pt, 376pt" capHeight="716pt" defaultCharWidth="750pt" descent="210pt" italicAngle="0" lineHeight="1150" pitch="variable" scalable="1" stdVW="137pt" textEncoding="ISO-8859-1" xHeight="519pt">  <charWidths>32:278pt 33:333pt 34:474pt 35:556pt 36:556pt 37:889pt 38:722pt 39:238pt 40:333pt 41:333pt 42:389pt 43:584pt 44:278pt 45:333pt 46:278pt 47:278pt 48:556pt 49:556pt 50:556pt After referencing the fonts in the XDC file, I realized that the Arial and Arial Bold font were replaced by the UNIVERS resident font c61 before printing, which means there was a problem with the font definition (the sent IPL commands can be seen on the printer line analyzer tool).

Second changes:

Since the first changes made on the XDC file did not lead me to the expected result, I spendt time digging on the Adobe Livecycle documentation and tried to comment the following line:

<rasterSubstitutionFont typeface="Intermec Swiss 721_Normal_Normal" unicodeRange="U+20-U+FF"/>

Indeed, the Intermec Swiss 721 Normal correspond to the UNIVERS resident font on the device.

The result is that by now, I can see that the used font is c03 and c04 as expected, but the font size in output is way larger than the size 8 set on the designer side.

=> Does anyone know why the font size is increased at printing level ? Am I missing something ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thibault

My pc currently uses Word 2016, Windows 10, and ES4 with Service Pack 1 installed.  I am receiving the following errors when I try to import a Word 2016 document:

The IT Department was unable to apply the fixes mentioned elsewhere in the forum for ES2 errors and Word errors.  Any other suggestions other than copying & pasting into LiveCycle from Word would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help!!
