I'm getting this error running AEM forms on WebSphere cluster:

Any ideas?

IDP_JMS_Bus Messaging Engine stops by itself

$

Hi,

In one of our LiveCycle ES installs, we have on WebSphere App Server with an Oracle database, we see that the IDP_JMS_Bus stops every now and then. This of course interrupts the availability of the LCES web services to process client invocations.

When i look at the Messaging Engine(s) list in WAS Admin console for the app server, I see that its status has changed from the green arrow (STARTED) to the "gray circle with diagonal line across" icon indicating 'Unavailable' status.

Below is the recurring message that appears in the SystemOut.log from the Livecycle ES server.

Why does this happen? How to remedy this nuisance? is this a known JMS issue when Oracle is the databse?

I set up Adobe LCES 8.2 on a WebSphere 6.1.23 install and deployed the ears.  I manually created the connection pools, data sources, etc, and all the other config settings, however, I now get the errors below and am unable to deploy the jar files or initialize the database.  The pools test out fine with zero errors, but I keep getting this DS.SC_SERVICE not found error and do not know how to fix it.

Hi,

i try the Adoby Sample: Quick Start: Applying usage rights using the web service API for WSE Services
http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/000125.html#1548411

Everytime i start the servie i get message:  ALC-RES-001-002: No credential found with alias [administrator]. When i try sample to generate 3D-PDF, all works right. But by the Extensions the same credentialAlias does not work. I'm using the AdobyLiveCycle ES 8.2 Update1 as Trail version with AdobyAcrobat 9.1 and have all installed with JBoss on a Windows 2003 Server like deklared in InstallTurnkey from adoby.

What can i do? Here a part of the code:

                ReaderExtensionsServiceServiceWse  readerExClient = new ReaderExtensionsServiceServiceWse();

                readerExClient.Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential(USER_ID, PASSWORD);
                //Specify the PDF document

                string path = OUTPUT_PDF_PATH;

                FileStream fs = new FileStream(path, FileMode.Open);

                //Get the length of the file stream

                int len = (int)fs.Length;

                byte[] ByteArray=new byte[len];

                //Populate the byte array with the contents of the FileStream object

                fs.Read(ByteArray, 0, len);

                inDoc.binaryData = ByteArray;

                //Create a UsageRight object and specify usage rights

                UsageRights useRight = new UsageRights();

                useRight.enabledComments = true;

                useRight.enabledFormFillIn = true;

                useRight.enabledDigitalSignatures  = true;

                useRight.enabledDynamicFormFields  = true;

                //Create a ReaderExtensionsOptions object

                ReaderExtensionsOptionSpec reOptions = new ReaderExtensionsOptionSpec();

                reOptions.usageRights = useRight;

                reOptions.message = "This is a Rights-Enabled PDF Document";

                //Apply usage rights to a PDF document

                ReaderExtensionsService.BLOB outDoc = readerExClient.applyUsageRights(

                    inDoc,

                    USER_ID,

                    PASSWORD,

                    reOptions);

The full errormessage is:

Unable to connect to the Livecycle Server in CM (Non Turnkey Install)

As per the guide, I performed the following steps in the non turnkey install of LiveCycle

1) Installed the JDK 1.5.0_11
2) Copied the Jboss 4.0.3 folder from the install folder to C:\jboss
3) Created the datasource and JMS for Oracle
4) Installed the Liveycle solution components
5) Ran the Config Mgr only to configure LC
6) Copied the EAR fileds from C:\Adobe\LiveCycle8.2\ConfigurationManager\export\ to C:\jboss\..\all\deploy
7) Restarted Jboss

In the next step I when I the Config Mgr to deploy the components, I am asked to verify the connected. This is where I am stuck and I am unable to proceed. I used administrator/password as the login.

I get the following error:

"Failed to connect to the service container. Livecycle container information or login information may be invalid or the server is not running or accessible."

As this is the first install the logins are default. I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Can someone please help ?

Thanks in advance.

Is Windows 7 supported as a platform for ES2?

I have an installation of LiveCycle ES 2 running on a Windows 7 server and it seems to be alright.  However I have been trying to install the Human Capital Solution Accelerator and I am running into some installation errors.  I wanted to make sure that this is not a platform issue.  If it is supported then I would like to know why when I run the the deploy script: install -Ddeploy.list=hca,  I receive the following error message;

I have attached the whole log file to the posting.  Any help would be appreciated.

How to change the database character set?

Hi,
We have installed jboss turkey with MySQL and we want to prepopulate name fields like with data from the database in multilingual enviroments i.e. greek,english and russian e.t.c.Where and how can we change that?

JBoss console output at runntime

Hello all,

When I start my JBoss installation with run.bat -c all,
I get errors, so its unable to run JBoss with a console for developing purpose.

(JBoss runs as a service without errors, Froms ES renders a PDF)

Does anyone knows how to start JBoss with console successfully?

I think when JBoss is started as a service there will be sent parameters as well, maybe run as a specific user?

(When I start the MySQL database manually, I got a mess of exceptions in JBoss, there was something about an Adobe user in database; maybe its necessary to run JBoss manually with the parameter that specifies the Adobe user from the database?)

I appreciate your help.

Best regards,
Gabriele Iannetti

I like to buy a XPAAJ library

Hi,

I'm developing a small project in java, it's a desktop application.

This application has to populate a PDF document. The PDF document has
been developed using LiveCycle with a dynamic XFA form.

Regarding to the LiveCycle API documentation. This has to be necessarily connected to the LiveCycle server to populate the PDF document.

I like to populate the PDF document without connect my application to LiveCycle server.

I tested the XPAAJ library and it's good for me. But Adobe doesn't support more this library.

Please, could you tell me where/how I could buy that library? Could someone sell an old licence of the XPAAJ library?

Thanks,
Araujo

Sometimes JBoss fails to connect to server.

JBoss does not connect all the times during server re-boot.  The errors on the log are listed below.  It looks like the ports are in use, but re-starting the JBoss service or the server will resolve the connection issue.  This problem does not occur all the times.  Sometimes JBoss starts without any problem.  This is a Windows Server 2003 and SQL 2005 environment.

Failed to deploy LCA

Hello,

I'd like to appolgize in advance if my question is not clear enough.

I'm deploying the LiveCycle ES on WebSphere on a remote Linux server, connecting to Oracle 11g database and I can successfully access the LiveCycle console.

I'm facing a problem deploying the LiveCycle components (jar files), all files are successfully deployed except for (adobe-launchpad-assets.lca).

I get an error "failed to deploy LCA /opt/adobe/adobe_livecycle_es2/deploy/adobe-launchpad-assets.lca"

I also get another error for (adobe-auditworkflow-dsc.jar), saying that it is deployed but not running.

I tried solving the problem by restarting the application server and re-deploy the jar files, but no luck.

If there's anything else I should be providing, please just tell me what it is and how i can find it.

Thank you.

How to create "attach file" button

I have been searching for days on how to insert a working "attach file" button into a PDF form I'm creating. I am working with LiveCycle ES4. I am able to open other examples where the "attach file" button works but when I try to implement in my own form, it doesn't work. I have tried using script from several examples but none work when I try to implement in my own PDF. Do I need to enable rights via LiveCycle somehow?

I have already tried the following:

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////// with this option, nothing happens when I click the button ////////////////////

form1.#subform[0].AddAttachment::click - (JavaScript, client)

var oObj = event.target;

var fileAttachments = oObj.dataObjects;//dataObjects returns all dataObjects(attachments)in the pdf

if(attachmentsList.length > 0)

    {

        oObj.importDataObject(fileAttachments.length);

        var oDataObj = oObj.getDataObject(fileAttachments.length);

        attachmentsList.addItem(oDataObj.path);

        console.println("The attachments size is...."+fileAttachments.length);

        NoOfAttachments.rawValue = fileAttachments.length+1;

    }

else

{

    //we need to associate each file attachment  imported into the document with a key

    //then get the file attachment's name and add it to the drop down list

        oObj.importDataObject(counter.value);

        var oDataObj = oObj.getDataObject(counter.value);
