please help me out in this

Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError while running config manager

$

Let's start off by stating that I'm not a WAS expert.

I'm currently busy installing ES2 on a WAS / Windows 2003 machine which connects to an Oracle 10g DB. I've following the installation instructions quite carefully, but I ran into a brick wall that I can't seem to move myself. Hopefully someone over here can help me out.

Over many attempts I've had various different issues while running the configuration manager. Most of these issues pop up after the ear files are configured and are ready to be deployed. Reviewing the log files I noticed that the I get a java.lang.OutOfMemoryError at the times when the issues pop up. The server itself doesn't have a shortage of RAM (16GB) and I did increase the deployer heap size as described in the manual.

Eventually I've now given up searching and decided to throw myself at the mercy of the forums for some help . Since I don't really even know where to begin investigating the issue (besides confirming that I followed the steps in the manual), I'd be appreciative of almost any suggestions.

Thanks

Greg

How do I get certificate authentication working across multiple domains?

$

Hi,

I've got LC ES2 set up for certificate authentication and when there's only one domain (with a single certificate mapping set up), it works fine.

However would like to have multiple domains (application specific), with a small set of administrator type users who manage all of the domains.

To test, I've set up two domains, with the admin users in one and the normal users in the other.

I've set up two certificate mapping rules (both for the same CA), one for each domain.

However LC will only authenticate users who are matched using the first certificate mapping rule.

Has anyone else seen/tried this?  Have I missed something obvious?

For the moment I'm going to have to work with a single domain, which is a pain, but will have to do for now.

Thanks

Craig

Here's the error I get when LC fails to match (or attempt to match?) on the second cert mapping rule:

I'm trying to get an installation running, and while it seems most things are up and running, a few services are failing to start.

com.adobe.livecycle.DataTypesUtility and com.adobe.livecycle.PDFUtility fail to start. Their errors are similar:

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Component: com.adobe.livecycle.DataTypesUtility version:1.0 must be in a running state prior to starting service: DataTypesUtilityService version: 1.0

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Component: com.adobe.livecycle.PDFUtility version:9.0.0.0.20091019.1.220522 must be in a running state prior to starting service: PDFUtilityService version: 1.0

How something can be started, before it is started, I'm not sure.

The server (open)SUSE, on a 64bit system.

Failed to deploy LCA

Hello,

I'd like to appolgize in advance if my question is not clear enough.

I'm deploying the LiveCycle ES on WebSphere on a remote Linux server, connecting to Oracle 11g database and I can successfully access the LiveCycle console.

I'm facing a problem deploying the LiveCycle components (jar files), all files are successfully deployed except for (adobe-launchpad-assets.lca).

I get an error "failed to deploy LCA /opt/adobe/adobe_livecycle_es2/deploy/adobe-launchpad-assets.lca"

I also get another error for (adobe-auditworkflow-dsc.jar), saying that it is deployed but not running.

I tried solving the problem by restarting the application server and re-deploy the jar files, but no luck.

If there's anything else I should be providing, please just tell me what it is and how i can find it.

Thank you.

Hi,

Has anyone tried using Microsoft NLB for Livecycle with JBoss clustering and get it working? Able to login to livecycle's admin ui page with the NLB IP

My enviroment:

- 2 jboss application server (different IP address)

- Horizontal clustered

- LC ES2 installed on both servers

For those who setup successfully, hope you can share your experience.

Thank you.

Exception: "Could not validate SAML Token"

We have an evaluation system setup that we are using to generate PDF from PS. We're connecting via the EJB client, and typically have had no problems. Until today. At some point today we began seeing exceptions being thrown on the client:

Caused by: com.adobe.idp.um.api.UMException | [com.adobe.idp.um.api.impl.AuthenticationManagerImpl] errorCode:16421 errorCodeHEX:0x4025 message:Could not validate SAML Token --- Assertion has expired and hence not valid for user [administrator@DefaultDom]. Its valid till time [Tue Feb 04 10:58:45 MST 2014] was found to be before the current time [Tue Feb 04 16:04:41 MST 2014]

Simply bouncing the app server where the client code is running solved the problem, however we'd like to better understand what is going on and why. Nothing that I can find in the docs seems to indicate the cause/solution, and possible solutions have links that appear to no longer function: http://cookbooks.adobe.com/post_Renewing_the_context_to_handle_session_expiry-16410.html

Any suggestions and/or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

LiveCycle ES3 error accessing asset manager

Hello,

I just used configuration manager to get the asset manager and crx modules deployed in the livecycle ear, which we deploy to jboss.  When I go to <my server>/crx, the crx repository comes up just fine, but when I hit the /lc context, I just get a blank screen.  The source says:

How do I add the licesne key I have purchased to the Adobe LiveCycle trial version loaded on my PC?

blue grid watermark on trial life cycle printouts v11.0.0.0

I installed a trial version of life cycle from the adobe website. Previously my laptop had the factory installed adobe reader version that was pre-loaded. After installing the program I quickly found that all adobe files on my laptop including those printed on remote my desktop connection (RDT) had a blue grid watermark. Since the adobe reader was pre-loaded I had no choice other than to do a complete system restore to the date and time previous to the install. Unfortunately the watermark remains.

I called technical support and described the problem. They indicated they would help only after paying $39.95. I really feel this isn’t my problem using their trial software and was reluctant to pay for something I didn’t cause. Their reason for payment was that my laptop came with the free reader and if I wanted help I had to pay. My feelings is that I had a good working computer prior to the trial and why pay to fix.

The support technician suggested I go to this forum and research my watermark printout error. Finding none I’d like to see if anyone else has experienced the same watermark. Hopefully I’ll hear something. My next step is to try Facebook and reach out to a larger group.

It’s sad that all my customers that had to receive their invoices and proposal with this watermark today. Even my outlook PDF printouts using "Print-to-PDF" had the watermark. All was trying to do was create a form that could be auto filled-in and then digitally signed via email. Thank-you in advance for any support you can offer.

set default view to listview instead of cards

Hi all!

I've been looking around for a while but I can't seem to find an option / setting to change the default view to list view in the livecycle workspace.

Currently for every user they have card view selected by default, I would like to change this to list view. Is this possible? Where can I set this setting for all users?

LiveCycle for Mac

Hello all,

I am new to LiveCycle and is tasked with converting a company's form to an interactive fillable PDF form. I went online and found out about livecycle designer.

My question is, do I need to install the livecycle server, workbench and designer to get this done. The aim is to have the data stored in a database when submitted by clients as well.

Is there an easy way to install the livecycle suite in one go?

Additionally, is there a livecycle download available for Mac? or will I need to use a virtual environment?

Looking forward to a response.

compatibility with old version

Hi,

         I need to connect with LiveCycle Server version 9.0. I tried to do with LiveCycle Workbench ES4, but I couldn't, because this version of workbench is incompatible with this LiveCycle Server. I research in the web for a workbench version ES2, but I didn't find it. Are there a way to get this workbench version? Are there a way to connect with LiveCycle Server 9.0 from LiveCycle Workbench ES4?

I couldn't update LiveCycle Server and I need to modify a service inside.

Thanks on advance.

Rodrigo

hi i did create the encrypted password with:

/opt/java64/bin/java -cp /opt/jboss/lib/jboss-common.jar:/opt/jboss/lib/jboss-jmx.jar:/opt/jboss/server/default/li b/jbosssx.jar:/opt/jboss/server/default/lib/jboss-jca.jar org.jboss.resource.security.SecureIdentityLoginModule <password>

did something like

Encoded password: -e2215f74b8a3059

did put it into password in login-config.xml like:

<!--  <application-policy name = "OracleDbRealm">
      <authentication>
        <login-module code = "org.jboss.resource.security.ConfiguredIdentityLoginModule" flag = "required">
          <module-option name = "principal">adobe</module-option>
          <module-option name = "userName">adobe1</module-option>
          <module-option name ="password">xxxxx</module-option>
          <module-option name = "managedConnectionFactoryName">jboss.jca:service=LocalTxCM,name=DefaultDS</module-option>
        </login-module>
      </authentication>
    </application-policy> -->

    <application-policy name="EncryptDBPasswordAppPolicy">
        <authentication>
            <login-module code="org.jboss.resource.security.SecureIdentityLoginModule" flag="required">
                <module-option name="username">adobe1</module-option>
                <module-option name="password">-e2215f74b8a3059</module-option>
                <module-option name="managedConnectionFactoryName">jboss.jca:service=LocalTxCM,name=DefaultDS</module-op tion>
            </login-module>
        </authentication>
    </application-policy>

and replaced login and config clausules in adobe-ds.xml and oracle-ds.xml with:

<security-domain>EncryptDBPasswordAppPolicy</security-domain>

the problem at start:

org.jboss.resource.JBossResourceException: No matching credentials in Subject!

and i cant login into adminui
