I am new to LiveCycle and is tasked with converting a company's form to an interactive fillable PDF form. I went online and found out about livecycle designer.

My question is, do I need to install the livecycle server, workbench and designer to get this done. The aim is to have the data stored in a database when submitted by clients as well.

Is there an easy way to install the livecycle suite in one go?

Additionally, is there a livecycle download available for Mac? or will I need to use a virtual environment?

There was a process running on LiveCycle ES2 SP2 server.

It kept on "RUNNING" status on a step.

Therefore I choose the step and click the "retry" button in Admin UI Process Management. 

However, it failed and displayed such an error:

Error Message

This operation cannot be completed without the selection of one or more operations from the list below!"

Is it a bug? Is there any way for me to rerun the step?

After installing LiveCycle Designer ES4, version 11 on an HP ProBook 4320s...the program blows up after closing & reopening.  I've done various installation gyrations...installing from both C: & network locations, running Setup as Administrator and not.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!

How to i put a large amount of text in a smaller box and have a vertical scrolling bar

We have a LCES 8.2.1 install on a WebSphere App Server 6.1.x on a windows platform.

The database used is DB2.

Recently we have not been able to start the LiveCycle ES app server. We issue the startServer command and it remains in start in-progress indefinitely. The SystemOut shows the following error.

It looks like its trying to recover some old job info, but then threads hang and the server never start.

What may have caused this problem?

How can we clean the Job store or DB2 database, if that is the cause of the problem?

Is there some table(s) used by the IDPSchedulerService during startup that can be examined...and maybe be cleaned up?

Any help or pointers appreciated.

Hi,

We have a problem with a watched folder endpoint. The watched folder is set in a directory in a linux server. The directory then is mapped to a windows directory where files arrive from time to time. Everything works fine until the watched folder service stops for no particular reason. After that we need to restart the service from the admin UI console.

I found in another post something related to the MySql database losing connection with livecycle after some inactivity, but I'm not sure if this is our case or even how to solve the problem.

I have recently subscribed to the Creative Cloud and installed Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, BUT Livecycle is missing!?

I do have a full version of Acrobat Pro X, but the install package will not let me install over the top of Acrobat Pro XI?

I have many, many PDFs developed with LC! How do I get it back?

Windows 2008 SP2 64-bit server running JBoss and LiveCycle ES2 SP1 after installing SP2, running the Configuration Manager, I get the following error in the LiveCycle Component Deployment Validation stage:

adobe-usermanager-dsc.jar is deployed but is not currently running

adobe-usermanager-jit-dsc.jar is deployed but is not currently running

Then validation completes.

If I go onto the Configure PDF Generator ES2 step, it doesn't have my previously configured user credentials for multi-threaded native conversions, and if I attempt to add any I get:

An error occurred while adding user. See LCM logs for details.

Swapping over to the admin webpage, there are no longer any users listed under PDFG User Accounts, in fact that page has this error in the moddle

ALC-PDG-001-000-Conversion of the input file failed because of an exception.

And no users or profiles in Settings -> Trust Store Management -> User and Password Credentials. Adding a profile here gives:

An error has occurred. Please see error log for details.

If I go into Services -> Applications and Services -> Service Management, and filter for Stopped services, I can see four usermanager services stopped; AuthorizationManagerService, DirectoryManagerService, SPIRegistrationService and AuthenticationManagerService. Selecting any of these and trying to Start them gives:

I'm trying to set up a send mail task, but even after setting the taks properties or/and the server settings (SMTP server, e-mail address), I still get the following error message:

Failed to connect to email server: null. Reason: Could not connect to SMTP host: localhost, port: 25: com.adobe.idp.dsc.email.ConnectionFailedException: Failed to connect to email server: null. Reason: Could not connect to SMTP host: localhost, port: 25

Does anyone have any idea?

I am trying to invoke a short lived process in Livecycle using EJB endpiint but I get the following exception.The same process works fine when i use SOAP endpoint.Any  help on how to resolve this will be highly appreciated.

I am developing an application on ADOBE Livecycle ES2.(Like Inventory Ordering Application)

After developing many forms and processes, Suddenly, We are facing issues like, Unable to deploy the applications for the past one week. We have tried many solutions like Creating the new versions for the app, Seperating the application into small applications (One for each form).. But nothing gave like a permanent solution..

We feel like server was more unstable and so we tried restarting the server.But it  give like a show that works fine only for sometime and later on again the same problem persists.

We got frustrated with how to resolve it.

We have tried deploying/Undeploying the application  in ADMIN UI, Thro' Workbench.. but nothing works.

Currently we are using ES4 and have a local server for each machines.

When the new patch is made by one of our developers, it’s locally tested first because each developer has own local server(ES4). Then it’ll be uploaded into our main server where we share the all of the applications. But also we need to mirror the all applications between the main server and the local servers.

So  is there anyone know that where the latest LCA imported dates are shown in the administration console screen?

We are trying to evaluate ES4 to see if it will work for our business.  I downloaded the ES4 Server trial and started installing on a Windows 7 64-bit VM.  My question is, does WebSphere come in the install package or is that something that you have to have installed already?  If you have to have it in place already, what do you do if you don't have a WebSphere license?
