Software package

Hello,

I'm an employee at Volkswagen AG in Germany and we would like to download the trial version. We could install the "installer" but then it is impossible to download the software file, because we do not have access to the server. The company has a proxy blocker and this could be the reason why the installation does not work.

Is it possible to get/download somewhere the software package of the trial version of AdobeLiveCycle Designer directly?

Thank you in advanced.

Kind regards.

Alice Thepphasy

Attempting to enable watched folder yields ALC-DSC-003-000: com.adobe.idp.dsc.DSCInvocationException: Invocation error.

I have a large number (88) of watched folders that process PDF files to extract barcodes.  ALC ES4 on Windows Server 2008R2.

Recently the system got bogged down so I disabled many of the folders to allow others to catch up.  One folder now reports status disabled when viewing endpoint management (Services > Applications and Services > Endpoint Management).  When I check the box for this folder and click Enable I get

ALC-DSC-003-000: com.adobe.idp.dsc.DSCInvocationException: Invocation error.

Interestingly, the folder acts like it is enabled in that PDF files are processed, but the Endpoint Management display and the exception bother me.  I've restarted but the condition persists.  Any suggestions for how to clear this up?

Thanks!

ES4: Attempting to start EMC Documentum connector throws error ALC-AAC-0017-000.

I'm running LiveCycle ES4 SP1 on a Windows 2008 virtual machine. My workflows need to connect to an external Documentum content server (version 7.2), which is also running on a Windows 2008 VM. I understand that the first step is getting the connector services running, but when I attempt that - whether through Workbench or the admin ui - I get the aforementioned error. Research suggests my connector is not configured properly but I can not deduce what the problem might be. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Hello,

we are working on the publishing of some Adobe Livecycle PDF protected documents on a website we are working on.

We noticed an anomaly in Chrome Browser (Saphari too). The browser can't recognize PDF protected Document, so clicking to the download of the pdf document, it use "Chrome Pdf Viewer"

and shows a message to user 'Unable to open document'.

Is there any system to force the browser to open the protected pdf with Adobe reader?

The solution about asking the User to disable Chrome Pdf Viewer and enable Adobe Reader is Excluded.

Thanks a lot,

V.

Does anyone know a contact at Adobe Support who will send us the invoice to renew our maintenance contract for LiveCycle ES? Strange to say, I've been hitting the phone menus, web links, and left unanswered voice mail messages for weeks - and nothing!

Adobe - let us know how to pay you, please!

I have two LiveCycle instances on two different server environments(Dev and Test). I have a few common short-lived processes and forms. All these processes involve Document objects. These processes run fine on one environment(Dev) and have problem in the other(Test) for the same input parameters. Input parameters are Document(PDF) objects. I see this error when I invoke a process which has RenderPDFForm activitity in Test environment.

I tried comparing the configuration settings for these 2 environments and everything looks the same between the two environments except Health Monitor.

Total Physican Memory, Free Physican Memory and Free Swap Space. These parameters are vary big between the two envs. Other parameters look close.

Is this difference causing the process to fail in Test environment ? If yes, are there any other parameters that I can adjust to fix the problem with the process ?

If no, what could be causing the process in Test env to fail ?

Any ideas in this direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jyothi

Adobe LifeCycle Forms 7.2.2 Installation

Hi,

we are migrating to new server windows 2012. One of our legacy application is using Adobe LifeCycle Forms 7.2.2 and Adobe life cycle Reader extension 7.2.2. JBoss service for Adobe LifeCycle is 3.2.5. I need help from experts here:

1. Does this version of Adobe LifeCycle is supported on Windows 2012 server?

2. If it does, is there any place where I can download it, I am not able to find the CD in my repository.

3. If it doesn't support window 2012 server, what options I have? upgrade it? anything else other than upgrade?

4. Can you point me to some document which will help to install the Adobe LifeCycle 7.2.2

Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.

How to create "attach file" button

$

0

I have been searching for days on how to insert a working "attach file" button into a PDF form I'm creating. I am working with LiveCycle ES4. I am able to open other examples where the "attach file" button works but when I try to implement in my own form, it doesn't work. I have tried using script from several examples but none work when I try to implement in my own PDF. Do I need to enable rights via LiveCycle somehow?

I have already tried the following:

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////// with this option, nothing happens when I click the button ////////////////////

form1.#subform[0].AddAttachment::click - (JavaScript, client)

var oObj = event.target;

var fileAttachments = oObj.dataObjects;//dataObjects returns all dataObjects(attachments)in the pdf

if(attachmentsList.length > 0)

    {

        oObj.importDataObject(fileAttachments.length);

        var oDataObj = oObj.getDataObject(fileAttachments.length);

        attachmentsList.addItem(oDataObj.path);

        console.println("The attachments size is...."+fileAttachments.length);

        NoOfAttachments.rawValue = fileAttachments.length+1;

    }

else

{

    //we need to associate each file attachment  imported into the document with a key

    //then get the file attachment's name and add it to the drop down list

        oObj.importDataObject(counter.value);

        var oDataObj = oObj.getDataObject(counter.value);

        attachmentsList.addItem(oDataObj.path);

        NoOfAttachments.rawValue = 1;

}
