Hi,

I'm trying to install LCES2 on RHEL5/JBoss4.2.1/MySQL 5.1.30.

I created a MySQL database (adobe) with a user adobe that have all necessary rights on this database.

I am running the installation and the configurationManager generate ear to deploy in JBoss.

When I deploy the ear by copying them in the server/lc_mysql/deploy directory, I get the following error :

2010-04-12 14:24:32,385 ERROR [com.adobe.datamodel.repository.DBModelPersistence] SQL exception during loading of all data models: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Table 'adobe.data_model_persistence' doesn't exist

I continue the installation in the configurationManager, and when the components are deployed in LCES, I get this error :

ALC-DSC-000-000: com.adobe.idp.dsc.DSCRuntimeException: Erreur interne.

Caused by: ALC-DSC-504-000: com.adobe.idp.dsc.registry.DataTypeNotFoundException: DataType com.adobe.idp.taskmanager.form.TaskContext, version 0.0 introuvable

The following components are not deployed : adobe-guides.lca & adobe-process-management-system.lca

When I try to import the samples, I get other errors.

Did someone face the same problem ?

Hi,

I started reading the "Preparing to install LCES2" guide. In the guide on p.12, I can't find a supported configuration for Windows 2003 server, JBoss, 32 bit OS and oracle 10g/11g database. Is this configuration not supported anymore?

We currently have LCES 8.2.1.3 running on a jboss application server on a Windows 2003 server, 32 bit OS, and an oracle 10g database. Do we really have to change to 64 bit OS?

Any information is welcome!

AcroRd32 unable to locate component

After updating AcroRd32 (v. 9.3.3.177) the program fails to start because lsapiw32.dll was not found. I have been using this installation for a long time and have not experienced problems until I allowed the recent update requested by Adobe. I did a "repair installation" and checked for additional updates but the problem persists. Will uninstall/reinstall help?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Does anyone know if there are any issues with JBoss and SQL Server 2008 r2? I tested connecting to a 2008 sql server in the adobe-ds.xml file and was getting errors in my server log.

The version of JBoss was what came with 8.0. Would I need to update JBoss prior to being able to connect to a 2008 sql server?

Hi all,

I'm installing LC with WebLogic on a Solaris server. Everything seems to goes right till the end of the process when I get "Errors occured during the installation" and the error message is "null". It's not actually helpfull...

I've checked the installation folder permissions : 777 so it seems to be right too.

The only weird thing I see is that the serial number I have to use seems to be for Windows : "Adobe LiveCycle ES Win WebLogic", but it worked because it allowed me to install a bunch of applications.

I'm logged as root.

Any idea ?

Hi All,

First of all, I hope i can find somebody who can help me. I write the deployed Adobe Life Cycle Details Below. The Lifecycle system is running on IBM Websphere 6.1. I call LiveCycle PDF Generator ES -> Export PDF service over ADMINUI. First of all I understand this functionality works differently for ps , tiff(IMAGE FILES), doc(word format files) files. It calls diffrent functions after invocation layer(1. for ps files 2. for Image files 3. Word files.). The first two one are worked properly. But When i want to export pdf file to rtf or doc file. I got exception at java codes. I do not know which this functionality use ACROBAT or not at the background. Or do i need extra configuration for that functionality. I write the exception below. I could not debug the exception because i could not release what the system does after it calls a process after invocation layer. How can i understand why this job is failed? What i need to configure?

Please Help me ASAP.

LiveCycle Upgrade from 7.2.2 to ES2

Dear all,

I am migrating my LiveCycle application from 7.2.2 to Livecycle ES2, as per the recommendations from Adobe the best way is to first migrate to LiveCycle ES and then to ES2. Is it possible to migrate directly to ES2, since it a very small application??

Any suggestions would be helpful.

Locators not starting, ES3 install. Can't bootstrap

I am trying to install a JBOSS/ES3 clustered env and am currently in the config manager trying to bootstrap the db.

Based on the logs I am having a locator issue.

Back in ES2.5 when i started the locators it would create a .locator + gemfire.log

file in the ES2.5\lib\caching folder. When i start it in ES3, no .locator file is created and the gemfire.log is found under the C:\TEMP folder.

Checking the gemfire.log i see that it isn't able to connect to the locators on either node.

I have downloaded the LiveCycle ES3 trial however when I go to install, I am asked for a serial number and cannot proceed until I have entered one.

I can find a serial number for the ES2 trial but it doesn't work with ES3 and I cannot find one anywhere!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All

I am here for some high level administration information on Adobe
LiveCycle ES. In Our Organization, Output ES is used for Customer
Communication letter generation (Will generate at least 1000 page pdf
every time).

I am not happy with Adobe from day one onwards. Though it is good tool
and has very good functionalities, Its very complex to develope for
multiple developers.

Pls share your feedback on Output ES2

The production server frequently throws OutOfMemory error whenever DDX
is used in generating Letters.

Few queries for my better understanding

1) What is the maximum No. of objects(Process, Forms, XSD & etc.) a
application can hold(I have applications with only 25 Objects still it
hangs).
2) If particular Process is called regressively with different Input,
Is it better to keep it as Long-lived process to avoid memory
consumption and speedup the response time.

3) If adobe process response is slow, what are all the parameters
which need to be checked in Appserver and DB level.

4) Is there any alternate way to avoid process hitting Adobe server
every time, It should generate pdf in client machine itself.

Our Application server is in WAS with DB2 backend.

Kindly revert and show some light on Adobe Output ES.
I dont know whether I have furnished all what I want to convey, Pls
ask if more information required on it.

I have installed Livecycle ES4 on Linux following the install guide provided. I was at the step of verifying Post-deployment tasks. All the following web browser URL worked except URL below.

5.1.3.3 Accessing CQ Welcome Page - [http://[hostname]:[port]:/lc/welcome | http://[hostname]:[port]:/lc/welcome]

5.1.3.5 Change CQ Administrator default password - http://....../lc/libs/granite/security/content/admin.html

5.2.3 Access HTML Workspace - http://...../lc/ws

5.2.4 Access Forms Manager - http://..../lc/fm

I got the following message on error.log
