Hi,

          I am getting following error at the time initialization of database.

Admin UI error log

I havent dont this task in awhile nor have I went into the AdminUI but I am trying to import an LCA and it is timing out and saying "An error has occurred durrring impor or deploy. Please see error log for details " I already tried creating a freash LCA but still get the same error. Tried it on two different environments still same error. I simply forgot where the error log file is can some please tell me. Thank you.

Error 403 JBoss

Hi, I have a JBoss server and I can access /adminui and /workspace options runing in my local server or with RDP but when I try using a router I just view a Error 403.

 

I try to use Home >Settings >User Management >Configure Allowed Referer URL's ( /um/ConfigReferer.do ) but don't work...I try to access to /adminui and /worskspace using a router with  8080 port but I can view just some options of /adminui.

 

Can anybody help me?

Unable to change the Global Document Storage path in Livecycle ES4

Hi,

I am trying to reset the GDS through the Administration Console and I get the following message: Invalid Global Document Storage path.

I need to reset the GDS to a shared folder in our network and not a folder in the C:\ directory where the application places it by default.

If I set the GDS to the shared folder during installation then the component deployment process fails.

Please advise as to what needs to be done.

Difficulty installing French version

I have been successful in installing and using the English version of ES4, but cannot install the French version.  I paid for both of these versions.  Each time I try to install the French version, I get the following message:

"Designer was unable to locate critical application files.  Please shut down Designer and run the installation program ( found under 'Add/Remove Programs' in the Control Panel).  Choose to 'Repair' the installation in order to restore the missing files".  Where can I get these 'missing files"?

 

I have done this several times and it still isn't working.  I need the French version asap

Help managing Adobe_LiveCycle_ES3\jboss\server\lc_sqlserver_cl\tmp with 30GB of files

I'm looking for assistance on managing this folder path as it is consuming 30GB of space on the drive in 70,000 folders and 448,000 files.   These files and folders go back to it's installation in 2013.   There are current files/folders. 

 

Is this space safe to clean up through scripts?  is there a process in place within LiveCycle to manage the cleanup?

dear members,

 

following is our requirement:

 

we are providing  a .NET based solution to an organization. we also require to develop & provide adobe eForms for capturing data.

target audience use adobe reader latest version as part of their daily work.

 

I have gone through adobe livecycle designer forms and adobe acroforms.

Using livecycle designer, forms can be designed.

I did not find much advantage with acroforms over livecycle forms.

Q1) could you guide me what is difference between forms designed using adobe acrobat (DC) and adobe LC. which is preferrable in which scenario.

 

Our approach to eForms is following

-> user downloads eForm from .NET based portal

-> user fills in eForm and saves PDF in his local desktop for his reference

-> user shall be able to generate xml from the filled eForm using adobe reader

-> user attaches generated xml data file in .NET based portal

-> data is imported into the system(RDBMS) using .NET code

 

For various reasons, user cannot publish data directly from eForms and it needs to be done through portal only.

 

Q2)I have observed that using LC designer would not be sufficient since import data rights need to be granted to the forms. I am looking to evaluate following scenario

-> eForm is developed using LC designer

-> rights are granted to the form using LiveCycle server

 

Q3)what is difference between ES2 and ES4. will support be provided for ES2.

 

I have looked for trial version in adobe site, did not get much help.

Tried calling executive, they are not taking call.

Could you validate the approach and choice of adobe software for given problem statement.

Unable to install adobe live cycle 7.1 on the system. Whenever it is installed the error being displayed is mentioned below everytime I try to access the software.

The message pops up as soon as I start lifecycle.Adobe LiveCycle !

Get Application in Adobe LiveCycle ES4 Workbench not working

When I try to Get Application from Workbench, some will be retrieved and other won't be retrieved. See snapshot below.

 

What happened is as follows: We created a copy of the existing LiveCycle (Server and Workbench) onto two new virtual machines. Everything seems to be working fine, except that "Get Application" won't retrieve any file for certain application and/or folders. For example, below you will see a snapshot showing that the "Forms" folder didn't retrieve any file, but I have added the file "FullFormCopy" manually just to see if it works. I used Check-In/Check-Out and it seems it is working fine.

 

How I can troubleshoot this problem? Any help to solve it would be greatly appreciated.

LiveCycle ES2 is not pulling members of the LDAP group

We are using LiveCycle ES2 and it is configured with IBM LDAP for authentication. When we add LDAP group(s) to the Adobe Livecycle and sync the domain, it is not pulling all the members of those groups. However we can directly add the same users to livecycle and access them without any issues within Livecycle.

Has anyone seen such issue before?

How to acquire LiveCycle Designer ES4 in Poland?

Hello,

 

The question is: Is there a way for a company based in Poland to acquire LiveCycle Designer ES4 at this point? Adobe site loops the process back to Creative Suite landing page which is already present. AEM Forms is also considered if it can provide dynamic pdf form creation tools such LCD ES4.

Hello,

 

I have made form using adobe live cycle es2 : I have numeric fields that I want to get their median ... I know that there is average in formcalc but for example:

 

Cell 1=  5

Cell 2=  3

Cell 3=  6

Cell 4=  2

 

median is = (5+3+6+2)/4    the 4 is the number of cells.... this is easy to obtain

 

my problem is that if one cell is empty or = 0    so I need to exclude this cell from the equation for example:

Cell 1=  5

Cell 2=  3

Cell 3=  0

Cell 4=  2

here I don't want to include cell 3 because it is = 0 only I want (5+3+2)/3

 

please can any one help me....

Hello, 

 

I purchased LiveCycle Designer ES2 and have a valid serial key.  However for whatever reason Adobe has decided to make it impossible to find the download now.  I can find any CS version back to version 1 but, cannot find the install for a product from 2014.  This is absolutely crazy!  Not sure how customers are expected to reinstall a version of the software which was only available online to begin with.

 

please post the download link so I can use the software I purchased.

What Conditions Causes Some Fonts to be Embedded?

We have been using Adobe LiveCycle for many iterations and are curious about what exactly might cause a font to be embedded even though we have not specified it in the adminui.

 

Specifically, we are seeing Saysetta font be embedded (as well as some other fonts for foreign languages).

 

Within the adminui, we have "Always Embed Fonts" set with the following fonts: Khek Anlongvill,Khek Sambot,Khek Sangker,Khek Sattawat,Khek Wat Sangker.

 

Why is it that Saysetta is being embedded even though we have not specified for it to do so?

adobe livecycle gds(filesystem) not decrease size after purging process

Hi,

my customer has large gds=130gb on filesystem.After i purged all processes(20,000-Completed,Terminated) , size of the gds folder remains the same(130gb).

Now there is still around 10000 running process. On my dev machine i purged processes and i freed around 2gb from my C drive. Can you give me a hint, where to look at? Why not purging release disk memory/ thank you
