When import LCA - get unable to compile class for JSP

Hello

 

Can you provide insight on this problem?

 

When trying to import an LCA in admin console, after selecting an LCA and clicking the preview button get an exception:

javax.servlet.ServletException: Unable to compile class for JSP.

Could not obtain connection to any of these urls: localhost:1099

java.rmi.ServerException: Could not bind home; nested exception is:
javax.naming.CommunicationException: Could not obtain connection to any of these urls: localhost:1099 [Root exception is javax.naming.CommunicationException: Failed to connect to server localhost:1099 [Root exception is javax.naming.ServiceUnavailableException: Failed to connect to server localhost:1099 [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused]]]

 

i get this error during a preconfigured jboss/bam/redhat install.

 

according to the documentation the NamingService port should be 9999 in \server\all\conf\jboss-service.xml

i checked it and it is indeed 9999 and not 1099 so why do those wars try to connect to 1099?

Bad Version number in .class file Oracle driver during configuring livecycle ES2 for jboss

1)I have ojbdc6.jar in preconfigured jboss 4.2.1 lib folder

2)I have JAVA_HOME set to jdk6 update 21,JBOSS_HOME to jboss

3)Created oracle database user,password...configured oracle-ds.xml ,adobe-ds.xml and login-config.xml as given in the installation guides

4)I have stuck-up at "LiveCycel ES2 Database Initialisation".I have the following...

 

Unable to connect to database;casued by [Could not create connection...

 

Caused by: org.jboss.resource.JBossResourceException: Failed to register driver for: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver; - nested throwable: (java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Unexpected error during load of: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver, msg=Bad version number in .class file)

 

Can anyone troubleshoot this...

How can I keep LiveCycle ES2 with Creative Cloud?

I have Adobe 10 that came with ES2. I have a handfull of forms that I created with this program and now with CC versions, Livecycle is not available. I do not need the new expensive version , but need to edit my existing forms once-in-awhile. Any suggestions?

Livecycle ES4 could not access CQ welcome page

I have installed Livecycle ES4 on Linux following the install guide provided. I was at the step of verifying Post-deployment tasks. All the following web browser URL worked except URL below. 

 

5.1.3.3  Accessing CQ Welcome Page  - [http://[hostname]:[port]:/lc/welcome | http://[hostname]:[port]:/lc/welcome]

 

 

5.1.3.5  Change CQ Administrator default password - http://....../lc/libs/granite/security/content/admin.html

 

 

5.2.3 Access HTML Workspace - http://...../lc/ws

 

 

5.2.4 Access Forms Manager - http://..../lc/fm

 

I got the following message on error.log

 

org.apache.sling.engine.impl.SlingHttpContext handlesSecurity: AuthenticationSupport service missing. Cannot authenticate request.

 

org.apache.sling.engine.impl.SlingHttpdContext handleSecurity: Possible reason is missing Repository service. Check AuthenticationSupport dependencies.

 

And web browser URL not working above all gave out the error text message:-

error: Word could not be found

Is there a quick fix or SP for error "Word (version XP or onward) could not be found on the machine"?  The registry path fix didn't work.  Livecycle ES2  (9.0.0.2),  Word 2010, Windows 7 64 bit.

I have an turnkey JBOSS 4.0.3 instyallation of LiveCycle with MySQL as the database server.

I keep getting the following error repeatedly:

I can understand what the error means but I don't know why I get it or how I can correct it. Also the MySQL server eventually crashes and needs to be started manually, however the JBOSS continues to run with the result of a lot of socket-exceptions because the database has crashed. Can the checkpoint probelm and the database crashing be related in any way?

I hope some of you are able to shed some light on this issue.

JBoss Starts but Stops Immediately

I am trying to do a turnkey installation of LiveCycle 8.2.1 with JBoss yet when I run the Configuration Manager, and at the point at which JBoss gets started, the Configuration Manageer stops stating that it failed to start JBoss.

When I go into Windows Services and manually try to start JBoss, it starts but immediately stops.

Any ideas?

Windows Active Directory and LC authentication

hmmm... I have another reinstall issue. I feel I had to essentially uninstall and reinstall due to making a change in the Active Directory on my developer's machine, learning that removing AD loses JBoss authentication (is there something I needed to do or should've done before I ran DCPROMO to remove the AD Mockup I did for a client's environment?)

Anyway, after stopping all services, removing the LiveCycle install and rebooting - then reinstalling Livecycle - everything went fine until installation got to "LiveCycle ES Database Initialization" - clicking the "Initialize" button yields an error:

Bootstrapping Error: ALC-TTN-103-000
Failed on step 'Invoking component bootstrapper' of task 'Bootstrapping User Manager'

ALC-TTN-103-000: Bootstrapping request failed on server. Message from server:

ALC-TTN-011-003: Bootstrapping failed for platform component [UserManager]. The wrapped exceptions's message reads:
Failure to load Configuration default. error:java.lang.RuntimeException: nullexecute query failure(select * from EDCCONFIGURATIONENTITY where (EDCCONFIGURATIONENTITY.name like binary ? and ISNULL(EDCCONFIGURATIONENTITY.parent)) limit 1)

Any ideas??? Did I not completely remove something during uninstall?

Cannot login to JBoss Livecycle Installation

I cannot figure out how to login through workbench.  I have configured it for port 8080 and can see the JBoss 4.0 page.  The help files say: If you cannot log in successfully, configure the user accounts. To do this, log in to LiveCycle Administration Console as the administrator and click Settings > User Management > Users and Groups. For more information about creating user accounts, see User Management Help.

 

None of which tells me how to access the server.  I have never seen such lousy documentation for a server product that sells for this price.  I am evaluating this for my Team to use on a system that will support 20k users for the first year and right now, I'm about to call Rob Tarkoff and tell him that without specialized training, his product is unusable for many.  I am well versed in Server technology, and neither the web console nor the jmx-console is accessable for configuring.  And I am not a fan of either JBoss (especially 4.0) or high priced WebLogic.  Why couldn't they have bundled with Glassfish?

 

So what next?  I need something that works out of the box without $250/hr Deloitte consultants to get it working.  Is there a blog or something that someone can point me to where I can get this thing working from?

How to find/reset the admin password?

Hi,

I'm new to this. The admin userid/password that was successfully used in the past in not being recognized now.

 

I was trying to log in to Adobe LiveCycle ES ver 8.2 from http://localhost:8080/adminui/login.faces and receive the message "Username and password do not match".

 

Is there a way for me to reset the userid/password ? I cannot reset a user's password before accessing thie admin account first.

 

Any help is appreciated.

i am not able to login to my account from work space while i checked the log i found Jboss porblem but i am facing the same probllem daily

i need to restart the jboss for atleast 10 times to work

Services failed to start

I'm trying to get an installation running, and while it seems most things are up and running, a few services are failing to start.

 

com.adobe.livecycle.DataTypesUtility and com.adobe.livecycle.PDFUtility fail to start. Their errors are similar:

 

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Component: com.adobe.livecycle.DataTypesUtility version:1.0 must be in a running state prior to starting service: DataTypesUtilityService version: 1.0

 

java.lang.IllegalStateException: Component: com.adobe.livecycle.PDFUtility version:9.0.0.0.20091019.1.220522 must be in a running state prior to starting service: PDFUtilityService version: 1.0

 

How something can be started, before it is started, I'm not sure.

 

The server (open)SUSE, on a 64bit system.

Hi !

Iam trying to install Adobe LiveCycle  to JBoss.I have  created oracle database as suggested in the document (created user,database tables...).

When i deploy jars created during LCM to deploy folder ,i got an exception .Here is a snipped of the server.log

howto encrypt the login-config.xml password

hi i did create the encrypted password with:

Error during Component Deployment Validation

Windows 2008 SP2 64-bit server running JBoss and LiveCycle ES2 SP1 after installing SP2, running the Configuration Manager, I get the following error in the LiveCycle Component Deployment Validation stage:

 

adobe-usermanager-dsc.jar is deployed but is not currently running

adobe-usermanager-jit-dsc.jar is deployed but is not currently running

 

Then validation completes.

 

If I go onto the Configure PDF Generator ES2 step, it doesn't have my previously configured user credentials for multi-threaded native conversions, and if I attempt to add any I get:

 

An error occurred while adding user. See LCM logs for details.

 

Swapping over to the admin webpage, there are no longer any users listed under PDFG User Accounts, in fact that page has this error in the moddle

 

ALC-PDG-001-000-Conversion of the input file failed because of an exception.

 

And no users or profiles in Settings -> Trust Store Management -> User and Password Credentials. Adding a profile here gives:

 

An error has occurred. Please see error log for details.

 

If I go into Services -> Applications and Services -> Service Management, and filter for Stopped services, I can see four usermanager services stopped; AuthorizationManagerService, DirectoryManagerService, SPIRegistrationService and AuthenticationManagerService. Selecting any of these and trying to Start them gives:

ALC-AAC-0017-000: Service(s) failed to start. It could be configuration problem
