Windows 2003 Server + JBoss + LiveCycle 8.2.1 SP3
Two machines in a cluster.
Works fine in a non-clustered dev environment. Ported the app to the cluster, changed the watch folder to one shared by both machines, and got this.
Here is the watched folder:
And I know this file was written:
When the file is written, the above quoted errors are posted in server.log.
After those errors appear, the "input" folder mentioned above becomes empty.
In the test environment the watched folder was not a shared folder via UNC, but a local folder in C: In the new clustered environment, where a shared folder must be used, I have not yet ever seen the watched folder work. This is the first time I was able to get a file into that watched folder to try. (In other words, it's not that watched folders were working in the cluster before, and have now stopped. It's not that other watched folders are working in the cluster. This is the first and only watched folder being used in the cluster.)
Any ideas?

How to find/reset the admin password?
Hi,
I'm new to this. The admin userid/password that was successfully used in the past in not being recognized now.
I was trying to log in to Adobe LiveCycle ES ver 8.2 from http://localhost:8080/adminui/login.faces and receive the message "Username and password do not match".
Is there a way for me to reset the userid/password ? I cannot reset a user's password before accessing thie admin account first.
Any help is appreciated.

SSL issue - windows CA - importing into JBoss 4.2.1
Afternoon,
I am trying to import a Windows generated certificate. I go through the process Adobe has documented to create the keystore and then the CSR. I send this CSR to the internal network team to create a certificate. Once I get this cert back I follow the Adobe documented steps to import. The import process complains showing the following error in the dos prompt.
Unparseable CRLDistributionPoints extension due to
java.io.IOException: invalid URI name:file://\\servername\CertEnroll\XXXXXXX In.crl
I can also see this message in the keystore when viewing it. ("keytool -list -v -keystore name.keystore")
I am 'guessing' this is related to the space right after the XXXXXX in the error above.
Will JBoss cough on this space?
Any alternatives?
Has anyone else experienced this?

Can't access LiveCycle web services - java.lang.LinkageError
When trying to access the WSDL,

I'm getting the following exception:

HTTP Status 500 error suddenly occurs
I have two different forms that were rendering correctly on my local for a long time, including just yesterday.
Suddently, I get the following error:

HTTP Status 500 - DSCError: ComponentID= DSC ErrorCode =2 MinorCode = 0 Message= Parameter: inFormDoc is required. ErrorMessage: Parmeter: inFormDoc is required.
This occured suddently.
I didn't make any changes to either form or to my LiveCycle setup, files, or folders.
It looks like my computer was not updated last night and it looks like no new software was installed.
It is highly unlikely that a programming "bug" would affect both forms at the same time to the extent that they'd both stop rendering.
The "inFormDoc" variable is all over my various LiveCycle files, but since they were working yesterday, I think this may be a red herring.
Of course, I tried rebooting at least twice as well as stopping/starting services with the "iisreset" command in command prompt.
I googled this error but didn't find much that would be helful to this situation, just enough to see other people have had it in various contexts.
Has anyone seen this or does any one know of a solution?
I'm pretty sure our policy is to not allow me to post/email code and files and such (sorry).

PDF setting for converting PS to PDF
Conversion of ps to pdf is working fine through Livecycle ES. But we are not able to identify which pdf setting is used to convert PS to PDF. We need to create our own pdf setting in the Live ES. Could you please advise us?

Database Initialization error while installing LC on WebSphere
Hi,
I am trying to install and deploy LC ES2 on WebSphere Application Server. I am following the instructions given in "Installing and Deploying LiveCycle ES2 for WebSphere".
I am stuck at LiveCycle ES2 Database Initialization step while running Adobe LiveCycle Configuration Manager. Can some one help me in resolving this issue. Please find the exception details below.

firewall settings with a restrictive policy
we have a 2 node cluster of BPM on jboss/oracle. the DB is on a separate machine.
+ BAM as single node.
could you advice me which ports have to be opened when the customer wants to have a restrictive policy = open only the ports which are really needed?
ps: i also found some ports in logs which are set randomly, any idea how to manage this?

Error 403 JBoss
Hi, I have a JBoss server and I can access /adminui and /workspace options runing in my local server or with RDP but when I try using a router I just view a Error 403.
I try to use Home >Settings >User Management >Configure Allowed Referer URL's ( /um/ConfigReferer.do ) but don't work...I try to access to /adminui and /worskspace using a router with 8080 port but I can view just some options of /adminui.
Can anybody help me?

MS word not found on machine
I have Live Cycle Designer ES2 installed on my PC. When I try to import a word document into designer to create a new form the error message, Word (version XP or onward) can not be found on the machine. MS Word 2013 is installed on my machine however its in Program Files (64 bit directory) and ES2 in installed on Program Files (x86) 32 bit folder of the OS. I'm sure some where in path of the applications is the problem, but I'm lost as to how to correct it. To make matters worse I installed Live Cycle Designer ES4 on the same machine because it is suppose to install only on 64 bit machines, but apparently that is not the case because it to installs on the Program Files (x86) the 32 bit directory of Windows 7. Importing a word doc into ES4 produces the same error, can't find MS Word. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thx

I'm trying to get Jboss app. server to start cleanly. I've performed the manual installation per the instructions in the 'Preparing to Install LiveCycle ES' pdf. Hardware, OS, and MS SQL Server configurations have been vetted for use with the product.
Below I've posted the command prompt output from starting Jboss with the batch file. It has been edited for posting here. I deleted the output for most of the objects that were configured successfully. Can someone please let me know what I've missed or mis-configured?

How to increase XMLForm servicing thread for enhancement in performance of livecycle server?
Hi,
When we are generationg PDF using outputES service XMLForm thread are coming which are providing PDF reply.
But this XMLForm thead are not increasing with more number of request.
CPU usage is also not going high,so its under utilization of resources.
Provide some way so that this XMLForm Service thread can be increased and response time can be reduced with better utilization of CPU.
Environment description is as below.
OS :- Red Hat Linux
Server :- JBOSS
Database :- Oracle
Any reply is highly appreciated as it will be useful for all who want to enhance the performance of livecycle.

I can't figure out how to make a button being pressed add or subtract a numeric field.
I am trying to create a ROI (return on investment) calculation PDF. I have a numeric field that I want to have increase or decrease by value X when I press an "up" or "down" button. I can't figure out how to connect a button to a numeric field where it dynamically changes its value.
I'd like to use 4 sets of these variable where the numeric fields will effect other fields below which will be auto calculated.
When this form is created I then want to to work on an iPad.
In Excel I can do this using Spin Buttons - and on an iPad using Numbers you can do this using a Stepper.
Any help would be amazing, thanks!
